HEMP OIL FAQ’S

Are your products organic?
Yes, yes, and yes!
Our farm-to-bottle products are made with 100% certified organic, Colorado-grown, Farm Bill compliant hemp. We own the farmland. We know our farmers. We oversee and control every part of the production process.
These practices reflect our company’s commitment to supporting ecological health, preserving local-biodiversity and working toward a sustainable future.
Is your CBD isolate or full spectrum?
Green Lotus Hemp products are made with full spectrum hemp oil. We use whole plant extraction to extract not just CBD, but a wide variety of cannabinoids and terpenoids, including CBG, CBDv, CBN, CBC, and CBDa. The resulting interaction is referred to as the “Entourage Effect.” (Hint: it’s a good effect.)
Most companies in the industry sell CBD as an isolate, which means their products contain a single cannabinoid, CBD.
Although research into the therapeutic effects of full spectrum hemp oil is still in its infancy, a 2011 study from the British Journal of Pharmacology explored the complementary effect of cannabinoids and terpenes, noting that “A CBC-extract displayed pronounced antidepressant effect in rodent models,” and “CBN demonstrated anticonvulsant, anti-inflammatory…and potent effects against MRSA.”
At Green Lotus Hemp, we treat hemp as a precious resource with near-unlimited therapeutic potential. Hemp is a miracle plant. Why not use all of it?
I see oral tinctures labeled from 125mg to 1500mg. How much CBD is in each dose?
Confused? That’s OK.
Oral tinctures (and all of our products) are labelled according to the concentration of naturally-occurring cannabinoids in each bottle, not by the amount of liquid in each bottle. All tinctures ship in the same 30ml (1 oz.) bottle.
For example, our 125mg tincture contains the same volume of liquid as our 1500mg tincture, but not nearly as much CBD and other cannabinoids and terpenoids (1375mg less, to be exact).
So, the amount of cannabinoids in each dose (each 1ml dropper) will be higher or lower depending on which tincture you order.

Cannabinoids per 1ml dropper:
125mg = 4mg/per 1ml dropper
250mg = 8mg per 1ml dropper
500mg = 16mg per 1ml dropper
1500mg = 50mg per 1ml dropper
How do I know how much to take?
The question is, “How do you feel?”
With hemp oil and naturally-occurring cannabinoids, dosing is a user-determined process. You decide what dose works for you. Start off small. If symptoms continue, increase dosing until you feel better. It’s that simple.
Our customers typically report relief from symptoms after two to three weeks of consistent use (at least once a day).
If you don’t see results within 30 days, you’ll have the option of collecting a complete refund or moving to a higher dose. Again, it’s up to you!
Feel free to contact one of our customer advocates, available 10AM to 6PM every weekday.
Will I test positive for THC or fail a drug screening?
If you consume any form of cannabinoids, it is possible, though unlikely, that you could fail a DSAT( Drug Abuse Screening Test). Testing positive for THC? Far less likely.
Let’s talk about how positive tests happen and why Green Lotus Hemp products are the best choice for any consumer facing a potential drug screening.
There are a lot of factors to consider:

1) Did you purchase your CBD product from a company that tests with a state-certified, CGMP lab? Do they provide the name and contact information of the “third party service” that tests their products? (We do.)

Contaminated or mislabeled products account for the overwhelming majority of failed drug tests resulting from non-psychoactive cannabinoid usage.
Many companies cut corners when it comes to quality control, and as a result, their products are littered with prohibited levels of THC and other contaminants. Do your research before buying!
2) Does your drug screening test for the presence of CBD, or just THC?
Marijuana is full of cannabinoids, so some tests do use CBD as a chemical marker. On the other hand, most tests look for the presence of THC.
If you take a DSAT that tests for THC concentration, it is extremely unlikely (if you follow our on-label instructions) that you will test positive for THC and fail the test.
Why? Because Green Lotus Hemp uses CGMP state-certified lab testing, and our products consistently test at .01% THC, 30 times lower than the established limit.
3) What about false-positives?
Yes, CBD users are susceptible to false-positives, but most false-positives result from users consuming a whopping 1000mg of cannabinoids.
What would it take to get 1000mg of cannabinoids in your system? You could start by quaffing an entire bottle of Green Lotus Hemp’s 1500mg Oral Tincture! (Do not do this)
For our 1500mg tincture, we recommend taking one 1ml under the tongue, once in the morning and once in the night. This amounts to a comparably minuscule 100mg per day, and that’s for our most highly-concentrated tincture! Stick to our recommended dosages and you’ll significantly reduce the risk of tripping a false-positive.
No matter the conditions, there is always a risk of failing a drug test. Before you take a drug test, consider speaking with your employer. Explain to them why you may end up testing positive and how you benefit from cannabinoids.
What extraction methods do you use?
The short answer? We use both CO₂ extraction and various distillation methods to extract a full spectrum of cannabinoids and terpenoids from our 100% certified organic, Colorado-grown, Farm Bill compliant hemp.
Green Lotus Hemp’s experienced team of chemists at our state-licensed CGMP facility decide which extraction process is ideal for each product.
